14 november 2001.1210am i think the great equalizer in this world is michael jackson. i just watched his two hour intensely edited 30th reunion comeback special, and it's obvious everyone loves him. it was both religious and patriotic, watching everyone scream and cheer and cry for michael. and his crowd of thousands of fans was one of the more multicultural crowds i've ever witnessed. "billie jean" looked like it was lip-synched, but did anyone there care? no. and neither did i. i also don't care that michael hasn't had any new dance moves since the jackson 5 or that he's had so much plastic surgery he looks like a burn victim. once he slips on the sequins, it's all golden from there. morrissey is still my favorite beatle, but michael jackson is now a close second.
